Being the pioneer in bringing Bhaona in the National and International arena, Basanta Kumar Baruah’s most exceptional contribution that has outshined everyone else is , the inculcation of Tribal communities of Assam to perform Raas in tribal dialects .Keeping the values of Srimanta Sankaradeva’s propaganda of communal harmony, Basanta Kumar Baruah involved the Tribal Communities to perform Raas Leela assimilating social bondage of unity and brotherhood. And in 2012 Sampurna Raas Leela performed its first ever Raas in Bodo Language along with Assamese language, a first of its kind in the State, creating new history.

With an overwhelming response from the audience , Sampurna Raas Leela went on to perform Raas in Karbi, Bodo, Mising, Tea Tribe, Deori and Assamese dialects since the year 2015. Apart from this a new dimension to promote equality among men and women and support girl power, an all women Raas was organized in the year 2015 which was performed by Khumtai Gramin Unnayan Mancha Golaghat along with Raas Leela In Assamese , Tea Tribe and Deori Dialects. This was highly appreciated by the common masses and also the Sattradikars from Majuli and across the State.

Sampurna Raas Leela is a cultural revolution in itself that has changed the whole representation of Bhaona involving every section of the society ( be it old or young) and community yet preserving the ethics and values of the age old traditions of the Sattriya Heritage. Basanta Kumar Baruah’s contribution to the populace has carried forward the very beliefs of Srimanta Sankaradeva , that of promoting brotherhood through the love of God.
